Firkin Friday with Off Color Brewing
Friday, August 25th
Join us and Chicago’s own Off Color Brewing as we tap a firkin of the brewery’s Eille – a flavorful saison with honey, juniper, coriander and chamomile. Enjoy a pint (or several) and chat with the Off Color Brewing team. This Firkin Friday starts at 6:00 PM in the main bar. Reservations are available but not required. Event is free and open to the public – just pay for what you consume! Click below to reserve a table, or just show up at the bar!
And what exactly is a firkin? A firkin is a keg – smaller than a traditional barrel – with a unique tapping process. Using only gravity to pour and no CO2 to push out the beer, this yields a small batch of naturally-fermented and carbonated beer that tastes much fresher than its full-size keg counterpart. Come see the process in person at our next Firkin Friday here at Hub 51.
